our Nurse Practitioner is a vital part of our team. The certified nurse practitioner is an advanced practice nurse that helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and consultations. This position covers a continuum of care including residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care. The nurse practitioner is tasked with educating patients about medication and prescribed treatments.Job Responsibilities:

Conducts assessment and monitoring of patients.Ensures Universal Precautions of the unit.Observe and assess patients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed courses of treatment.Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals.Provides documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.Maintains the Confidential nature of all patients and facility activities.Maintains required Training & Continuing Education.Meets with patients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required.Under the supervision of the Medical Director, assists in educating patients about psychiatric care.Facilitates medication education for new patients and for all other patients starting new medications.Meets with therapists to provide information about patient medical problems.Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning.Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director to discuss specific patient problems.Participate in regular department meetings and staff meetings.Encourage efficient utilization of supplies and equipment to prevent waste.Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility.Has good work habits: get things done in a timely, efficient manner with no excessive absences; is on time for scheduled shifts and prepared to begin work.Functions well as a team member and contribute positively to the morale of staff.Maintains up-to-date training in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Infection Control, and other areas mandated by organizational policies.Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing situations in the work setting.Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner ProgramCurrent Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) LicensureA minimum of 1 years' experience working with mental health patients in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, in a partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting preferred.Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state and maintains current licensure per state requirements.Maintains current CPR certification.Current (five-years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions.Medication educationBenefits:
