Arch Insurance Company is a leading provider of specialty insurance products and services. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our Travel, Accident and Health business unit to help develop and expand its platform to support existing and new business lines. In this critical role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions by analyzing requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and technical teams.This position is a hybrid role at our Hunt, Valley, MD office. The ideal candidate must be able to report to the office once a week.Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements for software solutions within the Accident and Health Insurance business unit.Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and user requirements, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, leveraging technology and best practices to drive operational efficiency.Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and effective collaboration throughout the development lifecycle.Conduct impact analysis and assess the feasibility of proposed solutions, considering technical constraints, timelines, and resource availability.Create comprehensive functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, and test plans to guide the development and testing of software solutions.Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of software solutions, addressing any issues and ensuring successful deployment.Provide ongoing support and clarification to technical teams during the development phase, answering questions and providing guidance as needed.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the insurance and software development domains, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis techniques.Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional development teams.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with process improvement methodologies and the ability to identify areas for optimization and automation.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, or similar tools.Proficiency with visualization and mock-up tools.Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
