RN Infusion Field Nurse provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment.
Responsibilities:
Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physicianObserves patient's IV treatment and documents observation in KinnserProvides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedureDevelop care plans with physicians and other members of the healthcare teamPerform blood transfusions, steroid infusions, intermittent chemotherapy infusions, electrolyte infusions, antibiotic infusions, and vitamin infusionsProvide education on the possible adverse effects that may occur because of therapyInsert and maintain midlines or PICC linesAdminister fluid therapy and medicationKeep infection control and prevention a top priorityMonitor patients' IV lines and medicationReview pertinent lab dataCollaborate and communicate with ordering doctor throughout therapyPerform line maintenance and troubleshootingPrevent and control infection by keeping a close watch on the insertion areaQualifications:
Hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or universityRN license1 year of Infusion therapy experience and trainingStrong communication and patient care skills
