Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. As an integral member of the health care team, coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assess patients before surgery and alleviate their concernsGather all supplies needed for the operationKeep operating room sterlizedPosition and prepare patient on the operating tablePass medical instruments or other objects/supplies to the surgeon during operationMonitor patient vital signs to detect anomaliesEvaluate patient in post-operative phasesAdhere to safety standards and precautions
What We're Looking For:$5000 sign-on bonus!Full-time, Day shift, 10-hour shift, 4 days. On-call requiredAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.Must possess licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New JerseyPrevious general, orthopedic, vascular and endoscopic surgery preferred.Completion of a BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), and IV certification.Must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.A minimum of one (1) year RN experience is required to qualify for the sign-on bonus (*)
