Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team in Newtown/Ridgefield, CT. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients presenting with urgent care needs, including but not limited to acute illnesses, minor injuries, and basic primary care services.

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order diagnostic tests as needed, and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and minor joint injections, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records/documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and practice protocols.

Job Details:

- Location: Newtown/Ridgefield (Floating as needed)

- Specialty/Setting: Urgent Care/Outpatient

- Schedule: 14 shifts per month, 12-hour shifts

- Hours: Weekdays (8:00 am to 8:00 pm), Weekends (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Emergency Medicine (EM) setting.

- Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

- Valid Connecticut state licensure and DEA registration.

- Proficient in conducting comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing common acute illnesses and injuries, and managing patient care independently.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members.

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Competitive salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
