Position Summary
Pediatric Radiologist
The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Pediatric Radiology section. Discover what makes this remarkable academic medical center one of the best places to work in the Southwest!
Clinical responsibilities encompass primary diagnostic and consultative service in Pediatric Imaging for exams performed at UNM Children's Hospital and our pediatric clinics, which provide full-spectrum primary and pediatric subspecialty care. All faculty contribute to resident didactic education and are encouraged to engage in clinical research or other scholarly activities. Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image processing facilities and are supported by dedicated research and publications staff.
All applicants welcome, including those seeking J-1 waiver/H-1B sponsorship.
Salary and academic rank for this position will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and academic background.
Position Highlights:
• One-time Market Payment
• No evening or overnight shifts. Peds procedural call is voluntary and reimbursed.
• No required weekend call

• Protected academic time available for education and scholarly pursuits for faculty

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements for this position are as follows:
• MD or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• State of New Mexico medical license or eligibility by contract start date
• American Board of Radiology (ABR) Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date
• Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology or equivalent Pediatric Radiology experience by contract start date.
Preferred Qualifications are as follows:
• Pediatric Radiology Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) eligible or certified by the ABR.
