In this role, you'll be expected to actively participate in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) discussions as needed. Collaboration with educators and service providers will be essential to coordinate therapy goals effectively. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in educating students, families, and staff on strategies to promote independence. Monitoring progress, updating plans, and maintaining thorough documentation will be critical aspects of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you'll be tasked with assessing students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Providing occupational therapy services, which may include engaging activities and sensory techniques, will be part of your daily routine. Finally, you'll work closely with students' teams and families to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
RequirementsLicensure as an Occupational Therapist in Georgia.Hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.Prior experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is advantageous.Thorough understanding of occupational therapy modalities relevant to school environments.
