• The Children's Institute in northwestern Georgia is seeking a Developmental-Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician to join a comprehensive care team focused on providing direct, high quality coordinated care to address the range of developmental and behavioral health challenges, medical complexities and family therapy needs of children with developmental delays. Care will be provided in our newly constructed, 54,000 square foot, freestanding care institute, integrating children's services in one building. • The successful M.D. or D.O. candidate should be a Board-certified/Board eligible Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician or Board-certified/Board eligible Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician. Because we are committed to the highest level of care for children and families of our community, the candidates should possess leadership skills emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, partnership building, and advocacy for children and families served; a demonstrated focus on family-centered care for a wide range of children with neurodevelopmental disorders; and a vision for the future of persons with disabilities in society. • Responsibilities include developmental-behavioral evaluations for young children with a wide range of health care needs including developmental and learning disabilities, complex neurodevelopmental conditions, ADHD, genetic disorders and other special health care needs, with close partnership with primary care medical home providers. • Additional opportunities exist for program development, and leadership. The candidate will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivery and health outcomes for the region including outreach presentations for families, providers, community, and conferences.
Position Highlights • The Children's Institute is a multidisciplinary regional referral center, the largest clinical program of its kind in North Georgia, providing a range of diagnostic and treatment services to children with developmental challenges. • Pediatric Clinic Patient volume: 100 visits per month, with a mix of new and established patients • Innovative multidisciplinary care for children with autism, including applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services • Clinical and coordination of care with an Educational Resource Coordinator for children with complex ADHD/school challenges Integrated behavioral health services • Care of children with neuromuscular conditions • Interdisciplinary Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow Up Clinic • Onsite Pediatric Therapies including: PT, OT, SLP
Additional on-site providers include Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Social Worker, Educational Resource Coordinator and Nurse Care Navigator. Our local community offers a large Autism Collaborative, a Family Support Network, as well as robust local support for our programs.

They are in an ideal location situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and just off of Interstate 75 for ease of travel.
