Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.Responsibilities:Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection casesReview and sign out cytopathology casesPrioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordanceComplete cases in the required turnaround time (TAT) at Kings County HospitalParticipate in internal/external quality assurance, performance improvement activities and programs, and departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as neededInvolve in processing of surgical pathology service management and quality improvementInstruct residents on service of general surgical pathology and cytopathologyParticipate in other clinical activities as requested by service directorQualifications:
NY State Medical LicenseCompletion of an accredited residency/fellowship in Pathology1+ years of experience preferred - New graduating residents and fellows are encouraged to applyAP/CP Board Certified or Board EligibleExceptional Benefits Include:Competitive compensation package10% 401K company contribution after one year of service, with 3% company contribution
