Qualifications:
Board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
Minnesota medical license (or eligible for licensure)
High comfort level with general surgical pathology specimens and cytology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Recent graduates are welcome to apply
Approximately 6,000 surgical specimens and 350 cytology specimens with aggressive recruiting goals and projected volume growth
Clinical laboratory with 500,000/year test volume and 10 clinic laboratories throughout the region
Excellent case mix featuring GI, breast, GU, GYN, ENT, lung and skin biopsies and predominantly breast and colon resections
Wonderful lab team with Pathologist Assistant, two Histotechnologists, and Lab Tech
Friendly clinical colleagues
No autopsies
No hematopathology – referred to Fargo
Minimal call burden (predominately blood banking issues handled over the phone)
Opportunities for lab directorships and physician leadership
Excellent work-life balance
Part time options available
118 bed hospital, 14 bed ICU
Level III trauma center
ER volumes- 27,000 annually
