Job Description:
The Lead Registered Nurse serves as a resource to clinical staff in Pediatric office setting.The Lead RN assists the Management by providing clinical oversight and direction to the clinical staff (RN, LN, MA) to ensure the safety and quality of the care provided to patients and families. Responsible for promoting and advancing the professional development of all clinical associates through role modeling, mentoring, and providing feedback.Provides necessary coaching and collaborates with Management to facilitate the day-to-day clinical operations of the office.

Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient care plans by working with healthcare team members.Assist Management in overseeing day-to-day clinical staff workflows.Provide training to new and established clinical staff.Performs the essential job functions of the Registered Nurse job description.Coordinates and monitors orientation of new clinical employees to ensure they meet 90 performance goals.Monitors and ensures completion of annual competencies for clinical staff.Participates in lead nurse meetings with management and shares pertinent information with clinical staff.Assures compliance with regulatory requirements in clinical office setting.Works with Management on clinical staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.Coordinates ensuring physician and nursing staff yearly PPD and flu shots and record keeping of the same.Ensures VFC guidelines are adhere to.Perform other related duties as assigned.Follow and adhere to HIPAA regulations.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as patient records, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write reports and correspondence when requested. Ability to speak effectively and clearly to patients and staff.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel, Outlook, internet, and EMR system.
