Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Builder to join our production team. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling various machines and multi-systems according to drawings and verbal instructions. Your expertise in machine assembly, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail will be instrumental in achieving desired results. The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of pneumatic functions, devices, and fittings.

Responsibilities:

Work under the instruction of production team members.Assemble all aspects of machines or multi-systems based on drawings and/or verbal instructions.Perform rework on critical machine components when required.Utilize knowledge of pneumatic functions, devices, and fittings to achieve desired outcomes.Document changes made to machine parts and assemblies on engineering drawings.Provide relevant information for machine technical documentation.Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safe working practices.Keep the work area clean and organized.Safely maintain tools and equipment in an orderly fashion.Follow work instructions and maintain checklists.Comply with all ATS Company policies.Perform any other duties as assigned.Health, Safety, & Environmental Responsibilities:

Adhere to ATS Health, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.Do not remove or alter safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through Lockout-Tagout methods.Actively report any witnessed unsafe conditions or unsafe acts and take necessary actions.Report any defects in equipment or protective devices.Use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the assigned task.Report accidents/incidents and near misses to your supervisor.Refrain from engaging in unruly conduct.Ensure that equipment, materials, and protective devices are functioning safely.Ensure that employees are following divisional health and safety procedures.Qualifications:

High School diploma or trade school education.1-2 years of related experience, with minimal experience in machine assembly.Journeyman toolmaker or equivalent skills.Strong mechanical aptitude.Good interpersonal skills.

Knowledgeable in the proper use and selection of tools and equipment, such as inspection and measurement tools (e.g., Vernier, caliper, scales), hand tools (e.g., wrenches, pliers, saws, power drills), and machinery (e.g., milling machine, surface grinders, lathe).
