At our facilities we breed, raise, and train exceptional dogs. Then we connect them to people who are seeking increased freedom and independence, so that together, they can experience all kinds of life adventures. As one of our Veterinarians, you will play a key part in making that happen!

Veterinarians , you will love supporting our mission as you practice high quality veterinary medicine in a rewarding environment while becoming an expert on our Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. With us, your expertise ensures our amazing dogs receive the best possible care and their optimal health is maintained from breeding through retirement and all stages in between, all while you work alongside a close-knit, supportive team. You will love working with our clients (the feeling will be mutual!) and you'll never have to write another estimate again since services are offered at no cost to our Puppy Raisers and graduating teams. This will allow you to provide meaningful, top-notch veterinary care at our full-service Veterinary Hospital without the common private practice challenges of dealing with financial constraints. Here, all necessary resources are at your disposal to ensure each dog receives the care and follow-up it deserves.
This position will primarily report to our Yorktown campus with travel to our Patterson campus as needed .
The RolePerform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures as well as large, mature dog spay and neutersDevelop appropriate courses of treatment for our puppies, breeding dogs, training dogs as well as those selected to become successful guidesEnjoy and excel in a group of fellow veterinarians - be able to respectfully collaborate and follow-through on cases keeping a team approach to ensure quality and consistency in the care of our dogsAbility to discuss the physical exam and diagnostic findings with the client (Puppy Raisers, Trainers, and Graduates) and create treatment plans to deliver the highest quality of veterinary medicineStay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicinePerform other duties as assignedQualifications You Will Need
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalentExcellent teamwork as well as strong interpersonal and communication skillsA commitment to client serviceReliability, high level of integrity and punctuality are essentialStrong organizational skillsPhysically able to handle 65-75 pound dogsMust have a valid Driver's LicenseGuiding Eyes for the Blind offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
