Job Summary:
The Pharmacist-in-Charge will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing outstanding patient care. The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining our reputation for excellence in pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
- Maintain licensure in multiple states and ensure all pharmacy activities are in line with each state's specific regulations.
- Manage a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing leadership and professional development.
- Optimize and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excessive surplus.
- Implement and oversee adherence to safety and security protocols.
- Address and resolve any issues related to prescriptions, patient care, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure team alignment with company goals.
- Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management regarding pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the ability to be licensed in multiple states.
- Experience in a managerial role within a pharmacy setting.
- Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Experience in managing pharmacy operations and budgeting.
