Job Description
Currently seeking a part time (with potential of providing full time hours in future) Doctor of Optometry for a private based practice that is made up of a team of eye health professionals that are dedicated to their patients.
My client dedicates education to the entire team, so everyone is consistently learning and providing the best quality of care available.
The office is not only established, but still growing. Because of this you will have the opportunity to practice general optometry with a consistent patient base. My client’s practice is equipped with the latest in vision care technology and stocked with a large selection of quality eyewear. Some of the services provided are:
Comprehensive eye exams,
contact lenses,
Hard to fit contact lenses,
Diabetic retinopathy, Macular degeneration, Glaucoma, Computer vision, Hyperopia,
Myopia control, Diabetic eye care, Co-management, and Dry eyes.
Job Summary:
Using commonly accepted practices, tools and techniques, the Optometrist (OD) will be expected to: • Evaluate patient vision and health care needs. • Works closely with the office team to provide compassionate patient focused care. • Team focused, personable, and passionate about providing friendly neighborhood eye care. • Document findings in patient records and consults with patient regarding the status and future requirements associated with their individualized vision care needs. Location: This opportunity is located 8 miles west of Canton, OH. This town is very family oriented and friendly. In the summertime you can find colorful awnings on the business downtown and festivities that are family oriented from dance events, activities, and movies in the park. This town focuses on being a community and everyone respecting all workers from city workers to the mayor.
Education and Experience
Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution. Active in state license. Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting a plus but not mandatory.
