A healthcare system in the New York City is actively seeking a licensed Family and/or Internal Medicine Physician to join their growing staff at an outpatient clinic in Queens. In this role, the Family / Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing primary medical care to patients at the Diagnostic Treatment Center or at home as needed.
Responsibilities:
The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will:Complete initial assessment and evaluation of new patientsProvide ongoing monitoring of patient's medical condition and provides the treatmentOrder prescription medications and diagnostic proceduresAuthorize and coordinate all specialty and ancillary servicesProvide in-service staff development and clinical teaching of trainees rotating through the Medical practiceParticipate in the development of such programs as preventive health screening, immunization programs, professional community outreach, quality assurance, etc.Participate in a wide range of clinical and epidemiologic research projects and studies of the frail elderlyParticipate in multidisciplinary team activities, including case conferences, hospitalization reports, and family and team meetingsComplete other duties as assignedQualifications:
Graduate of an accredited U.S. Medical School or foreign equivalentLicensed to practice medicine in the State of New YorkBoard Certification in Family and/or Internal MedicineDesired Skills:
Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice, Fellowship, and/or experience in GeriatricsPassion to work with the Geriatric population.1+ years of working experienceYour privacy is important to us.
