The Department of Internal Medicine is currently seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Neurologist tojoin our team. The Department of Internal Medicine provides specialty servicesacross the continuum of care at JPS. We currently have over 90 providers whowork in a variety of different locations including the Main Hospital,Ambulatory Surgery Center, and our Community Medicine Clinics. Our specialtiesinclude; Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonology,Critical Care, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Dermatology and Rheumatology.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine• Residency and/or Fellowship training within Neurology

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Neurology

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facilityMust be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty areaMust have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skillsMust be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreachMust be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
