Position Summary:A hospital-based outpatient clinic servicing a large area of western Alaska primarily consisting of Alaskan Native Americans. Provides full-time physical therapy services to a diverse population of clients from pediatric to geriatric, across a wide spectrum of diagnoses and therapy needs that includes but is not limited to orthopedics, neurology, vestibular and wound care. Position includes village travel, inpatient and outpatient care, home care and community outreach. Therapist adheres to Physical Therapy standards of care and practice along with JCAHO, OSHA, and Corporate Policies. Therapist applies age specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Supports Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation's mission statement.Position Qualifications:Must have Master's degree from an Accredited program in Physical TherapyGraduate from Accredited Physical Therapy program. Hospital-based experience helpfulIn addition must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist. CPR certificationHospital based: Standard Physical Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, etc.Office equipment (i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine)Hospital based: Standard Physical Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table, whirlpool, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, etc.Village-based: Usually a treatment table is provided.
