CWM is looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced Project Superintendent. The primary responsibilities of the Project Superintendent is to lead and direct multiple Foremen, crews, and daily operations on mid to large civil projects. You will be responsible for safely planning, executing, scheduling, work methods, controlling cost, and maintaining positive relationships with site staff, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers. This is a field-based position reporting directly to the General Superintendent.-----As a Project Superintendent, you will be tasked with:Hiring and training of craft personnelScheduling and directing work crewsPreparing work plans and Hazard analysis for the workAssuring quality controlManaging and tracking costScheduling equipment and subcontractorsAdministering safety programsMaintaining good owner relationsPerform daily inspections of work performedAct as liaison and coordinator between contractors and craft employeesSolve problems that arise.Develop 90-day, 3-week and daily schedules for crews, equipment and materialsBuild on budget and adjust the plan and methods as the work proceeds to improve productivityThe right candidate is a versatile and creative thinker who can support and lead teams to provide practical solutions to complex problems. The candidate must have the following experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy civil constructionMust have a least 5 years of experience managing various civil disciplines which could include grading, utilities (wet), structures, and concrete workAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsKnowledge of construction and engineering principles and practicesAbility to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environmentMust be able to adapt to new surroundings and with new peopleMust be prepared to attend meetings with customers and owners/general contractorsWorking knowledge of computers and experience using Microsoft Excel and WordEffective oral and written communication skillsMust have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skillsWhat CWM Offers You
