We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Hospitalist team!! Our staff has been providing excellent high-quality care to our patients, long-term career satisfaction.

As a hospitalist in a rural community your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the hospital. This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, coordinating with specialists when necessary, and ensuring the well-being of your patients during their hospital stay.
Lewis Health System offers inpatient and outpatient care services and a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department to meet the health needs of over 30,000 county residents and seasonal visitors. The system includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, 160-bed nursing home, three specialty centers (surgery, orthopedics, and women's health), internal medicine and family practice clinics located in Beaver Falls, Copenhagen, Lowville, and Lyons Falls, a school-based health clinic at South Lewis Central School, hospice, and home health services.

Qualifications:Current NY state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant.Previous experience as a Hospitalist is highly desirable.Strong clinical and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, rural healthcare environment.Willingness to be on-call and work variable shifts as needed.Dedication to providing high-quality patient care in a rural setting.
