Overview:

As a Chick-fil-A Supply Non-CDL driver, you will accurately and safely deliver products to Chick-fil-A restaurants in a timely manner while building strong relationships with internal and external customers. You are a safe, collaborative, and professional driver who follows all company policies, laws, and regulations regarding commercial drivers. For more information, visit cfa-supply.com.Responsibilities:Make safe, timely deliveriesOperates the Commercial Vehicle in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) as well as all local, state and federal requirementsUnload and put away product at RestaurantsUpon return to the DC, assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment (e.g., hand truck)Collaborate with team leaders before and after trips to assess unload time, delivery issues, continuous improvement initiatives and other aspects of the jobBuild relationships with Restaurant Operators to learn about best practices at each delivery locationKeep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues as necessaryComply with all regulatory and company policy requirements:

Operating within hours of service limits per the use of an electronic logging device (ELD)Follow all pre- and post-trip equipment inspection and DVIR reporting proceduresRoutine audit of vehicle registration, permits, insurance, IFTA, and other required docsOperate within legal state and federal vehicle weight limitsFollowing all policies and procedures in the FSMA regarding safe food transportWearing appropriate personal protective gear as required per policyAbide by all yard safety procedures to include but not limited to, speed limits, parking, pedestrian crossings and PPE requirements

Attend scheduled safety and job training sessionsManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positions based on instructions at the delivery location (DC or Restaurants)Report defects, accidents, or violations in accordance with DOT regulations and Company PolicyComplete routes within established Restaurant delivery windowsComplete all pickup and returns (e.g., pallets, carts, etc.) from Restaurants, and properly submit paperwork at the end of each shiftFrequently lift up to 65 pounds, and/or move pallets/carts with mechanical assistance up to 1500 poundsPerform work in all weather conditions, during both the day and nightMaintain a current driver's license and medical card as required by DOT; random drug tests will also be requiredManage time off to ensure proper rest and operate in compliance with DOT regulationsMaintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededPrepare for shifts to rotateAttend shift in proper attire and with safety equipment as required by company guidelinesWork in a multi-temperature environment including freezer temperaturesHave and maintain an acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT requirements and CFA-S minimum driver qualificationsAct as a Navigator/Helper to CDL-A Drivers when requiredAdapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional mannerManage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workloadOther duties as may be assignedMinimum Qualifications:

High school or equivalent (e.g., GED)21 years of ageAt least 6 months of verifiable experience of operating a CMV on public roads within the past 3 yearsMust have only one valid Drivers License (free of restrictions or limitations) of the type required and issued by the state of residence.
