DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform psychiatric evaluations of, prescribe psychotropic medication to, and provide medication management for clinically robust clientele. Attend to emergent client clinical needs, such as participating in case conferences and performing crisis intervention. Provide guidance to LPNs when needed. Work alongside other program managers to design and implement program improvement policies, procedures, and other strategic planning efforts. Assist the agency's incident review and training committees. Unique opportunity to utilize and enhance both clinical and management skills. Provide emergency first aid/CPR when needed. Related duties as assigned. Report to Chief Medical Officer for clinical portion of supervision.
HOURS
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm (flexible)
QUALIFICATIONS
NYS certification as a mental health psychiatric nurse practitioner required. Excellent emergency response and interpersonal skills a must. Good writing skills and computer literacy needed. Prior experience working with the mentally ill and/or substance abuse population or other related experience preferred. CPR/AED/first aid/naloxone certifications or willingness to be trained required. Bilingual preferred.
