Radiology (Mammography) position in SCLocated in Orangeburg SC40m to Columbia; 75m to CharlestonFull-time or Part Time; permanent
Hospital seeking a BE/BC Radiologist trained in Mammography to join team.The radiologist, working with a team of medical physicists and QC technologists, is the key to providing optimum quality mammography images, which will ultimately provide the best medical care possible to the patient.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for core privileges in Radiology, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:1. Documentation of the performance and interpretation of an adequate volume of radiological tests or procedures commensurate with the subspecialty; AND2. Successful completion of an ACGME (Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education) or AOA (American Osteopathic Association) accredited residency in radiology; AND3. Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in radiology by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.4. Forty (40) hours documented Category I CME mammography if qualified prior to April 28, 1999; OR5. Sixty (60) hours documented Category I CME in mammography if qualified on or after April 28, 1999.
Preferred Qualifications:
To be eligible for special privileges, the applicant must demonstrate successful completion of an approved and recognized course or acceptable supervised training in residency, fellowship, or other acceptable experience; and provide documentation of competence in performing that procedure. All interpreting physicians must have documentation showing that they meet the minimum MQSA-required qualifications.
Medical Center is a 286 bed, non-profit hospital in Orangeburg, SC. It is a full-service acute care hospital including a 24-hour emergency room, a cancer center, a dialysis center and similar specialty facilities. It also offers numerous outpatient facilities and community outreach services including wellness education and home care. There are four Healthplex fitness and rehabilitation satellite facilities in the hospital's two-county service area.
