OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.Solve hardware and software issue and you will have trouble shooting skillsUnderstanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations.hardware and software troubleshooting skillsREQUIRED TO GET AN INTERVIEW:
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.Must have Linux experienceMust be able to obtain transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance prior to start date.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification* (or higher) or acquire one within 2 months of start date. Inability to meet this certification requirement within that timeframe may result in termination.Experience with scripting, particularly in Bash and PythonExperienced using and developing with automation tools/frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.Experience with recent versions of VMware (ESXi and vCenter) ZFS Storage administration experienceExperience administering Windows based systems including Active Directory and group policies Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS, sendmail, and LDAP Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail orientedDemonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiencyRequires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors*NOTE: IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.
