General Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and implementation of large data communications or telecommunications networks. Plan and monitor the installation of communications circuits.Manage and monitor local area networks and associated equipment (e.g., bridges, routers, modem pools, and gateways). Conduct short and long-term plans to meet communications requirements.Responsible for the design and implementation of Local Area Network (LAN) / Wide Area Network (WAN) using hub switching and router technology. Perform hardware/software analyses to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment.Prepare tradeoff studies and evaluations for vendor equipment. Generate network monitoring/performance report, for LAN/WAN utilization studies.Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance.Required Personnel Experience

At least five (5) years of experience in the following technical areas:

Senior level experience working in a network and IT systems environment, including protocols (TCP/IP), equipment and services (DNS).Planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data or telecommunications networks.Network analysis/management tools and techniques.IT technology and long distance and local carrier management.Managing Personal Computers (PCs) in a client/server environment.

Required Education

Personnel must possess a bachelor's degree or higher;Must have at least one of the following certifications: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or above, VMWare 6 or above, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or above, Storage Area Networking (SAN), NetApp and/or Quantum, Red Hat Linux Enterprise Server
