Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President, this position will be primarily responsible for the regional business development, sales engineering and estimating, project management and closure of new mechanical contracts. Successful performers in this position will have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance ongoing client relationships.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesIncrease revenue and profits for assigned region for the Construction Group by increasing combo project opportunities of All ACCO products (plumbing, process piping, etc.) and increasing customers in local and new markets.Develop bid strategies for the assigned region including risk management through the bid review and analysis process to determine the appropriate mark-up on projectsOptimize Project Management teams and project assignments for plumbing and mechanical including assigning clients and projects to appropriate Project Managers and Project EngineersEnsure that the teams are appropriately leveraging the company's resources, and that a imbalances are addressedSupervision of full-cycle project management, from inception of sales, leadership of client meetings, development of contracts, scheduling and coordination of pre-construction job meetings with department heads and supervisors, finalize sales, through to successful job completionProvide supervision, leadership, and coordination of all ACCO department efforts including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service during project construction in a timely mannerContributions to and participation in special studies, committees, etc., to advance ACCO's technical abilities in engineering, planning, estimating, and installation proceduresBuild trust and positive working relationships with all other ACCO Southern California Department Heads, peers at ACCO major customers, and all current PMs and PEsValidate all relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and the industry to be of higher value to ACCO and the projectManage employee performance effectively and within the risk tolerance of ACCOAssist in the career and personal development and mentorship of all direct reportsWork with your direct supervisor and HR Business Partner to maintain a positive work environment and provide a career path for individuals that show promise for increased responsibilitiesEffectively manage and resolve personnel issues and partner with HR to resolve issues with non-performing employees using the proper HR guidelinesRecruit, hire, train, manage, and retain high performing Project Management talent and improve Project Management skills and efficiencies of the regional team as outlined in the PM PortfolioEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalentBS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree in a similar or relevant field of study10+ years of experience in estimating, designing and managing mechanical projects10+ years of experience in successfully managing a teamDemonstrate a commitment to building a relationship of trust and confidence with senior leadershipDemonstrate a commitment to uphold ACCO's ethics policyAbility to operate independently and possess the discretionary judgment to know when it's appropriate to consult with others in the organizationDemonstrate a corresponding high sense of integrityDemonstrated experience/ability to develop new businessStrong interpersonal and project management abilities, employing strong organizational skills to respond successfully to a high volume of issuesStrong Communication sillsAble to demonstrate effective leadership and team buildingMBA or Master's level educational degreeLicensed PEACCO COMPETENCIES:

HOURS:

Monday through Friday beginning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.

TRAVEL:

O - 5% of the time to and from the assigned office location to regional branch offices and/or to project/customer site(s).

Competitive Wages:

$130,000 to $215,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
