About the role:We are looking for a software engineer to join our product team and help build interfaces and APIs to interact with large language models. You will work with a team of engineers and researchers to design and implement key components of our product and platform.Responsibilities:Build core components of the API to access large language modelsWrite billing, email, and other integrations with third party providersDevelop conversational interfaces that leverage the language modelsOptimize the API and interfaces for performance, robustness, and ease of useImplement tools and processes to monitor model behavior and performanceWork with researchers to improve interfaces based on interactions with real usersYou might be a good fit if you:Have 2+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably building APIs and/or interfacesHave strong coding skills and experience with service-oriented architecturesTake a product-focused approach and care about building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to useEnjoy working with a fast-paced team tackling cutting-edge problems in AI safety and conversational AIEnjoy pair programming (we love to pair!)Strong candidates may also:Have worked with NLP and ML models before and understand their capabilities and limitationsHave experience with REST APIsHave experience with react and frontend frameworksHave experience with containerization and DevOpsHave experience with QA and testing automationHave experience with privacy and security best practicesThe expected salary range for this position is:Annual Salary:$300,000—$405,000 USDLogisticsLocation-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.US visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas!
