Senior Business Analyst (Workday HCM) - Hybrid

MKS Instruments is seeking a strong candidate with a broad level of knowledge and expertise in the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. With a little over 3 years since initial deployment, MKS continues to deploy additional functionality as well as migrating acquired companies into Workday. This will be a challenging and rewarding role. You will work directly with the Recruitment, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation and Employee Relations teams to design, plan, test and implement changes. We need someone who can be trusted to handle this sensitive data, and who will take special care and thought prior to making any system changes.

We are looking for an exceptional Workday Senior Business Systems Analyst that can meet the following job expectations:

Working with HR process owners and cross-functional teams in defining business requirements and project scope in line with system capabilities.Managing and providing application support to include functional configuration requirements, design, development, testing, conversion, migration, and maintenance of assigned tasks associated with Workday and other systems.Triaging, diagnosing, and resolving issues originating from end-users, business process events, and integration events.Ability to prioritize Workday issues and enhancements and provide timely follow-up and resolution, including escalating to third-party vendors.Documenting business requirements, decisions, business processes, and workflows in relevant documentation, training guides, test scenarios, and quick reference guides.Working directly with the business users, internal teams, and vendors for both support and project work.Adhering to change management process to satisfy the company's internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.Preparing for and supporting the twice-annual upgrades and annual HCM processes such as benefits open enrollment, yearly W-2/1095-C distribution/filing, performance, calibration, and compensation review.Proactively monitor new features released by Workday and advocate for appropriate adoption plans.Assisting with the planning of Workday global projects including defining the scope, goals, course of action, work needed, timeline and budget.Design, configure, test, deploy and maintain Workday functionality.Willing to share their Workday experience with others on the HRIS and HR teams.

What you will bring to the team, along with your curiosity:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and or Information Systems, or equivalent.3+ years of Workday configuration experience supporting global companies.Learning agility - Ability to quickly assimilate to new projects or information and stay organized throughout multiple priorities.Effective presentation skills - Able to write-up technical matters clearly and verbally restate complex issues in an effective manner for the audience.Trusted team player - Be someone who can work well throughout the department and across multiple levels in the organization.Demonstrates priority setting, business acumen, project planning and composure under pressure.Expert level knowledge and experience configuring Workday, to include business processes, reporting and security settings.Exposure to Workday Web Services, Workday Studio, BIRT Reporting, EIB, DT, XML/XSLT, SOAP, REST APIs.Deep interest in Workday, researching its current and future functionality and how to apply it to improve processes and the employee experience.Experience complying with a release management process.Excellent English communication skillsFlexibility to attend periodic meetings in the morning or evening to support colleagues and projects in different time zones.Ability to work onsite at an MKS facility 2-3 times per week. Andover, MA preferred.

Preferred Requirements:

Workday Partner/Pro Certification is preferred.Knowledge of multiple areas of Workday Integrations including Third party Payroll (PICOF/PECI), Benefits (CCB), Packaged integrations, etc. as well as Security and Reporting.Prior experience with these HCM modules: Absence Management, Talent, Staffing, Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation, US Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits and Learning.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $78,400 - $145,600 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS (or as applicable).Benefits: MKS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, sick time, 15 paid vacation days, (6 weeks fully paid) parental leave, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement (and for participation in any stock programs, signing bonus, etc.).
