This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships, and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role . This position will be located in our Dulles, VA office.The Contract Administrator will produce high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Integrated Missions Operating Unit (IMOU) programs. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.The Contract Administrator will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Contract Administrator must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, and meet the goals/objectives of the SM business unit.Roles and responsibilities of the Principal Contracts Administrator will include the following:Support the development of metrics, reports, and responses to data calls.Assist with digital transformation for the Contracts’ team.Maintain and update contract documents and official program records, including contractual documents and correspondence.Research contract issues and prepare analysis with citations.Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.We offer phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly collaborative workplace. An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Strong technical acumen in M365Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion.Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.Preferred Qualifications:Prior knowledge and overall understanding of FAR and DFARSExperience in contract negotiationsPrior experience with a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive Fee, etc.Experience supporting proposal activity including ECPs and REAsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change directions when neededNCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)Salary Range:
$88,700 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
