The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC-based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of all Americans. Provide policy and political leadership in the area of economic policy at a dynamic and influential advocacy organization driving bipartisan solutions to our nation’s challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with BPCA President on all aspects of fiscal advocacy – including setting strategic vision, establishing annual goals and deliverables, and closely collaborating with BPC policy project directors on advocacy agendaParticipate in congressional outreach and represent BPC Action on behalf of BPC’s policy projects at regular meetings with congressional members and staffManage fiscal responsibility advocacy initiative, including collaboration with key stakeholders.Monitor the tracking and analysis of federal legislative developments in fiscal and tax policyWork with President and BPC policy teams to ensure cross collaboration across policy areas to advance fiscal advocacy goals and to conceptualize, develop, and produce written products, public events, and other activities to advance advocacy goals in assigned advocacy areasProvide political guidance and strategic advice to policy and communications staff on written materials and public events to optimize legislative opportunitiesProvide advice to BPC’s Development team on funding opportunities and assist in the preparation for meetings, events, and materials as neededForge productive working relationships with peer organizations and generate opportunities for collaborationQUALIFICATIONS

Strong understanding of the federal legislative processStrong political skills and ability to work diplomatically with a wide spectrum of viewpointsAbility to manage large projects and multi-taskStrong written and oral communication skillsCapable of working independently and in a team environmentAbility to develop and maintain working relationshipsBachelor’s Degree; Master’s or Law degree a plusAt least 8 years of experience working on Capitol HillBPC offers a highly competitive salary and provides generous benefits. Work Schedule

The work/life balance of employees is a priority for the Bipartisan Policy Center. As a result, BPC is currently operating on a hybrid schedule. Employees at BPC are currently coming into the office three times a week. Employees at BPC expected to be in the office from Tuesday to Thursday every week.

BPC offers comprehensive health insurance benefits, covering 90% of costs for HMO and POS plans (with employees covering 10%), and 80% for the PPO plan (with employees covering 20%)

Additional benefits include 403(b) matching contributions of up to 7% of salary in addition to a non-elective contribution of 2% of salary (both after 90 days of employment); 15 vacation days, 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 12 holidays per year; education benefits up to $5,250 per year after one year of employment; $2,000 for professional development expenses after six months of employment; Metro benefits of up to $130 per month; Company provided life insurance; and dental and vision insurance coverage with a Flexible Spending Plan.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000.#J-18808-Ljbffr
