Position Summary

Lifeline Services is hiring a Lead Mental Health Clinician to support our growing team. You will be responsible for serving in both a clinical and leadership role. The position provides individual, family and group therapy to youth up to age 20. This positon also provides after hours and weekend on call coverage on a rotating basis.

The Lead Mental Health Clinician also serves an important role as team's primary trainer of clinical documentation and administrative processes. If you have experience with Medi-Cal documentation, are highly organized and enjoy coaching others, this position is a great opportunity to get leadership experience while still serving clients. All clinicians receive supervision and associates earn hours towards BBS licensure. This is a direct service and leadership role that will help our team support vulnerable youth in reaching their goals!

We're looking for a candidate who is able to connect with vulnerable youth, especially teenagers and young adults. We are also looking for someone with Medi-Cal documentation experience, preferably in Cerner (CCBH). This role requires organizational skills, flexibility and teamwork.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Professional

BBS registration, required - AMFT, LMFT, ACSW, LCSW, APCC or LPCC.

BBS licensed, preferred.

Experience

Providing mental health or clinical services to youth or young adults.

Clinical documentation for Medi-Cal and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Participating in SD county medical record reviews.

Training and leading quality assurance processes.

Working with adolescents and young adults while maintaining effectiveprofessional boundaries.

Meeting in-person youth in program locations and community locations.

Working effectively as part of a team.

Strong organizational, time management skills.

Creating new program-related policies and procedures, guidelines, and other documentation.

Position Responsibilities

Conducts clinical services requirements on time and with meticulous care and accuracy to meet all deadlines.

Provides individual, family, and group counseling, including crisis management at various locations which may include but is not limited to program locations, and within the community.

Provides case coordination with various internal and external clinical and non-clinical professionals including but not limited to psychiatrists, primary care

physicians, psychologists, IEP coordinators, schools, social workers, among others.

Provides on-boarding training to new and other staff on clinical documentation and administrative processes.

Reviews clinical charts and provides coaching and feedback to staff at various levels of experience and backgrounds.

Responsible for attending various meetings both internally and externally, such as for Quality Improvement Process (QIP); providing updates to the team for any recommended or required changes in implementing new documentation and administrative standards or processes.

Creating and maintaining relevant policies and procedures, guidelines, and other documentation to ensure program requirements.

Expected to be willing to take on other duties as assigned or required.

Schedule

Full-time,

exempt.

Monday - Friday;

8 hour shifts.

Available 1-2 workday evenings to offer sessions until 7 PM.

Schedule may require adjustment to meet operational needs with or without notice, to a 4-day, 10-hour shift.

Hybrid, 3-day onsite minimum.

Hybrid schedule is subject to change with or without notice due to program or operational requirements and/or constraints.

Compensation

BBS Registered Clinician:

$30.00 - $33.50 per hour.

BBS Licensed Clinician:

$

32.29 - $35.52 per hour.

Salary will commensurate with experience, education and licensure status.

Differential pay offered for bilingual skills if required for position. EEO.

Additional Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.

Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).

Employment subject to pre-employment background check and clearances, including state/federal DOJ finger printing, DMV driving

record, tuberculosis testing, and drug screening.
