Tyler Technologies’ Outdoor Recreation Solutions team is seeking a motivated Software Engineer who will serve as a key resource for the expansion of Tyler’s Outdoor Recreation platform for the state of California. Our platform works hand in hand with the latest technology in the industry supporting public policy, providing modern, flexible, and customizable approach for outdoor agencies.As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for participating in development, maintenance and enhancement of business applications. Participate in project teams within as assigned business unit or corporate department and utilize various technology platforms. Collaborate with business partners, and other technical staff to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options.Key Responsibilities:Full Stack Development: Develop and maintain web applications using, the Microsoft .NET framework, including both front-end and back-end components.Front-End Development: Design and implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks - ReactBack-End Development: Build and optimize server-side components, APIs, and databases using C#, ASP.NET, MVC and SQL Server.System Integration: Collaborate with other developers and teams to integrate third-party APIs and services into our applications.Code Quality: Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code while following best practices and coding standards.Testing and Debugging: Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for speed and scalability.Security: Implement security best practices and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and procedures.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.Demonstrated strong knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.Relevant Technologies: .NET, C#, SQL Server (or other RDB), React (or similar frameworks)Ability to quickly get up to speed on AWS Cloud stackExperience writing and testing code to meet strict deadlines.Demonstrated understanding of product architecture and all underlying technologies.Demonstrated understanding of development process.Demonstrated experience with data modeling tools, web services and/or service-oriented architecture.Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Solid negotiation with various parties to ensure enhancements to applications are addressed while maintaining/balancing business situations and constrictions.Well-developed logical thinking and reasoning skills.Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.Keen attention to detail.
