World Market is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Financial Analyst to help oversee the detailed tracking of our capital budget/forecast, as well as support our Real Estate team with various analyses. Reporting to the Director of Capital Planning and Procurement, you will play a critical role at World Market, by utilizing problem-solving skills to enhance our commitment tracking and overall capital management. You will make an immediate impact to our business through high-level support of the capital budget/forecast process by driving timelines and deliverables, consolidating capital requests, reviewing forecasts, and performing research and analysis as required. Additionally, you will be responsible for working closely with several business partners to issue/reconcile capital-related purchase orders. You’ll learn the World Market business as you build financial tools and oversight to support capital projects and the company’s capital spending.Support the management of the World Market capital budget, including monthly reporting and forecasting, through detailed tracking at the commitment level.Create capital-related purchase orders for the company while tracking/reconciling commitments monthly. Work closely with business partners to ensure commitments are funded and forecasted.Perform complex Real Estate analyses to drive decision making on lease renewals and new store proformas for future World Market store locations.Develop and execute reporting to various teams to provide insight into company spend/activity.Partner with Accounts Payable on purchase order/invoicing needs to ensure invoices are accurately processed in a timely manner.Support financial close of month, quarter, and fiscal year including managing accruals.What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or relevant degree.3+ years experience in a corporate finance role or capital management capacity, preferred.Strong understanding of financial and operational controls.Retail industry experience, preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ability to build relationships and contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to problem-solve, attention to detail and manage competing priorities.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.Work Location: Hybrid. You will spend up to 2 days per week on average at our Alameda, CA Home Office.Why We Love It
