Job Description Summary

At the KC Fed, our engineers work in collaborative team environments, embrace agile delivery methods, and have experience with technology with a willingness to embrace learning to meet the ever-changing and evolving technical landscape. Create products and solutions using the principles of software engineering to design, implement, configure, and optimize applications, databases, test automation tools. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, are engaged in incident and service request management and provide on-call support for supported products and environments.

Key Activities

Applies the principles of software engineering to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of solutions in support of applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products.Demonstrates technical skill in at least one programming general purpose language (Java, C#, Python, etc.) and domain specific language (HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor language, etc.), as needed.Performs peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines.Partners with customers in the development of innovative solutions that achieve business goals.Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements, and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.Provides on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products and environments.Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidate would have advanced people skills, including teamwork, initiative and adaptability.

Basic Qualifications

Typically requires at least 10 years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.Advanced understanding of subject.Has specialized depth and/or substantial breadth of expertise in discipline.Often relied on to provide thought leadership regarding industry experience and knowledge.Java, Spring Framework, relational database knowledge, SQLPerforms work independently. Coaches, delegates, and reviews work of less experienced staff, as well as serves as a knowledge resource. May serve as a team lead.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience creating and operating applications and infrastructure in AWS.Experience with Angular.
