prepares financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts. This is a senior level individual contributor role where one is responsible for developing analysis, projections and conducting small projects.Position ResponsibilitiesPrepares monthly financial analysis, budgets, and forecastsExecutes financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business planReviews, analyzes, and interprets financial & budgetary reports to develop observations and preliminary recommendationsPrepares and communicates variances to managementProvides interpretation of financial data in spreadsheets, charts, and reportsMonitors headcount, FTE’s and program spending to ensure budgets are metSupports the month end close and prepares monthly financial reporting packagesPerforms a variety of special projects, financial presentations, and financial analysisDevelops new reporting tools and improves key processes to increase efficiencies & effectiveness for all deliverablesOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMinimum 8-12 years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a government contracting and manufacturing environment requiredExperience with financial planning & reporting toolsOther Qualifications & Desired CompetenciesExperience with ERP and EPM systems; Hyperion, Oracle preferredCurrent expertise in: MS Office Suite (Advanced MS Excel required)Strong planning skills, coupled with strong analytical and execution skillsAble to identify problems and perform real-time resolution by deciding on correct course of actionAble to handle complex assignments using financial and accounting expertiseAble to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial informationAble to function at a high level in a dynamic and challenging environmentAble to communicate with all levels of management and present financial results to Senior leadershipHas effective problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal and communication skillsAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of dutiesFocuses on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interestsDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives; highly motivated and flexibleTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work productsIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the companyPhysical DemandsAbility to work in an office environment (Constant)Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)The Salary Range For This Role Is$97,594 - $146,390AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
