As a Data Engineer, your primary responsibility is to remain a step ahead of your fellow team members. You will support them by providing the tools and infrastructure needed to deliver deployable solutions to business problems. This is more than just building and maintaining data warehouse and ETL pipelines; this is about using your creativity and unique skillset to drive best-in-class analytic solutions. This job is remote-friendly.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain data architecture and pipelinesDevelop and deliver scalable unit-tested data assets and products that empower analysts and drive business workflowsEvaluate and continuously improve existing data products and solutionsWork with engineers and product managers to analyze edge cases and plan for architectural scalabilityManage the deployment of multiple data solutions such as business dashboards and machine learning modelsBe a staunch advocate for best-in-class data development and designParticipate in design and code reviews with meaningful commentsParticipate in the team's Agile processBe a collaborative, helpful, and curious team member
Key Position Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field3 Years of experience with ETL, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar technologiesUnderstanding of data warehousing technologies and event-driven architecturesExperience working in a fast-paced Agile development environmentAbility to work autonomously while interacting with multiple business teams and stakeholdersExperience delivering solutions on Cloud Datawarehouse platforms like Bigdata, RedShift, or SnowflakeHands-on experience with Python/R
Bonus Points For:
Experience with Java or other backend technologies is a plusExperience in fintech is a plusPassion for futures, derivatives and trading technologies is a strong plus
