Position: Sr. Java Engineer
Location: Mclean, VA Hybrid 3 days/week onsite
Rate: $80+/hr d.o.e
Duration: 12 month contract

Required Skills
: Java, Python, Springboot framework & AWS
Desired Skills:
6+ years of experience in software engineering, and 2+ years in data engineeringStrong in software design patterns, 4+ years with Micro Services, REST API, asynchronous messaging, distributed system, and related patternsStrong in data structure, ETL, data warehouse, and related data engineering technologies2+ years hands on experience in AWS technologies, including EC2, ECS, EMR, S3, RDS, and Lambda4+ years in Java programming, effective with Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, etc.3+ years in Python programming, effective with Spark, PySpark, etc.Experienced with full development life cycle, agile methodology, and CI/CDExcellent verbal and written communication skills, a team player
Optional Experience:
Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting real-time large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environmentDeep understanding of system and application performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and engineering for high availabilityHands on experience with AWS Serverless Technologies, including Glue, Fargate, and DynamoDBAWS certified Solutions Architect Associate and above
