Roofing Estimator
to join our growing team, to bid for our construction projects.Roofing Construction Estimator – What You’ll Do
In this role as the
Roofing Construction Estimator , you will estimate and bid construction projects for the rebuilding and repair of multi-family Bay Area communities and HOA’s.Estimating and bidding construction projects (you will likely perform estimates for 25+ projects a month)Attend the job walk with the construction manager to obtain an understanding of the projectManage and assist with preparation of RFIs and submittals.Perform plan take offs for scope of workReview job plans and reach out to the project subcontractors, including providing necessary documentationMaintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates figuresInterface with owner, contractors and others, to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibilityFollowing successful awarding of the contracts as assigned, manage the awarding of subcontracts and the creation of purchase ordersCoordinate the change order process, including but not limited to, assessing and documenting scope, estimating and pricing the change order, managing the creation and approval of the change orderWork very closely with the sales and production departments on customer interfacePlan for about 90% in office and 10% in the fieldRoofing Construction Estimator – What You’ll Need:
Experience working with MS Excel and creating formulas – you will use basic MS Excel formulas including creating spreadsheets, data keying and basic formulas for estimation calculationsExperience performing roofing estimates for construction projects (commercial, residential, or other transferable experience) and a keen understanding of the entire construction delivery cycleAbility to read and interpret construction contracts, spec books (specifications) and plan drawingsExcellent knowledge of construction materials for roofing workRoofing Construction Estimator – What You Might Have:
Experience in construction sales cycle assisting with identifying new customers or the bid process (additional incentives provided for your participation in sales)Experience with TopBuilder a plusThis role requires successful completion of a background investigation and MVR prior to start date.Compensation is $90,000+, with bonuses for sales activities. This is a full-time salaried exempt position.The position includes company vehicle, comprehensive medical benefits, paid time off and paid sick time, paid holidays, 401k and time off.
