Maine Medical Center Patient Access Emergency Department Supervisor Spotlight
Location: Portland, MEFacility: MaineHealth - CorporateSchedule - Shift - Hours: Full Time - Evening/Night ShiftThe MMC Patient Access Emergency Department Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of Patient Access care team members supporting the 65-bed Maine Medical Center Emergency Department, a Level 1 Trauma Center. The Supervisor oversees various functions including patient arrival/check-in, demographic and insurance verification, financial navigation, bedside registration, copay collections, check-out, and admissions. Additionally, the Supervisor provides leadership, support, and direction to ensure the application of Patient Access standards and principles of continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include maintaining processes, data system accuracy, and infrastructure to ensure timely payment for services provided. The Supervisor must have a 2-year college degree or equivalent leadership experience, 1–2 years in a related healthcare field, and 1–2 years of leadership experience preferred. Strong communication skills, customer service experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
