Description
Based on OmniVision’s proprietary technologies and features of the products and partner with marketing and engineering teams to define product specifications.Interact with customers to clearly understand product requirements and vision.Contribute to product directions and stay involved in the strategy and vision of the specialized technical areas.Develop best practices to ensure smooth and continuous product development processes.Work with the cross-functional teams to create world-case image sensors solutions and superior image quality products, including mobile phones, notebooks, tablets and webcams, entertainment devices, security and surveillance systems, digital still and video cameras, automotive and medical imaging systems, through highly specialized and proprietary OminiVision CMOS image sensor technologies.Provide design solutions to meet cost-effectiveness and on-time deliveries.Recommend new technologies and tools to optimize product design processes.Manage product design, silicon debug and validation.Identify constraints and provide corrective actions.Manage high volume semiconductor manufacturing processes, Wafer, Fab, Packaging, Reliability, and Test.Implement process improvements to ensure product quality and productivity.Define product design milestone, costs, performance, and detail design schedule and risk during the product development phase.Be an active participant in the monthly milestones, assure design quality, deliverables and provide feedback to ensure product quality output.Proactively identify large strategic product design opportunities inside the specialties and cross the products. Closely coordinate and work with other product design managers to drive cross-product initiatives through awareness and prioritization.Coordinate the cooperation among different global design sites.Influence internal and external contacts to drive the program forward and advance the goals of the company.Manage and closely support the Product Development of Japan Design Team.Requirements
Engineering diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Engineering, or related fields and five years of experience as a design engineer, staff engineer, or related.Required Experience
Management of Multi-functional team across multi-siteDesign Project Management over Analog / Digital / ISP / Package / PCB design activitiesHigh level power/area/jitter budgeting, ESD protection, floor planning and package consideration.ESD protection and over voltage power management design.Supervision over analog top layout integrationCircuit design of PI, Clock Distribution and Transistor’s Process Monitor Circuitry.Circuit design and supervision for layout design of Output Line Driver.Silicon validation, qualification, and production test supports.Tools: Cadence, VerilogA, EMX, Calibre, Matlab, Verilog.Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $239,200 - $245,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
