The Quality Analyst II’s responsibilities are to assess software quality through manual testing. This role reports to the Manager, Software Quality. The position is primarily responsible for writing test plans and for testing software to find and report bugs. A keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical to success in the role.
What You’ll Do:
Manage queue of issues reported by clients through FieldRoutes (client support).Research, reproduce, and document defectsUtilize tools such as SQL, App Insights and BrowserStack to fully understand reported defects or to identify software defects.Create detailed issues in Jira that clearly communicates the problem so a developer can reproduce it.Engage with engineering, product, and FieldRoutes team members to provide additional clarity where needed to isolate root cause.Act as subject matter expert to to help communicate proper system usage so that bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effectsAct as subject matter expert on FieldRoutes functionality for other company stakeholders as necessary.Actively monitor incoming issues and assist in prioritization
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or EngineeringMinimum experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience testing web and mobile applications in the software development industryExperience with mobile testing tools: Test Flight and Fire Base1 year experience with Jira and Git/GitHubWorking knowledge on API testing
