From sustainable transportation to advanced semiconductors, from satellite systems to life-saving medical devices, the next great leaps in human advancement will be powered by Ansys.Innovate With Ansys, Power Your Career.Summary / Role PurposeThe Senior Manager Go-to-Market Strategy and Planning leads a team that partners with our sales and operations leadership to uncover new sources of growth, analyze business performance, recommend strategies to capture growth, drive cross-functional sales effectiveness initiatives and conduct market and competitive analyses. This is a high-impact role, with constantly evolving priorities and demands. You will think strategically, arrive at a focused execution plan, and lead the plan to fruition. Projects can range from the very strategic to the very operational and focus on varying areas, such as global productivity, territory and sales coverage, channel strategy, annual planning etc.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesHelp design and implement sales and go-to-market strategy programs that help the company drive above market growthDevelop models and analysis, conduct internal and external research and synthesize learnings to support recommendations that drive change to the sales model or in support of strategic GTM programs and transformation initiativesDefine key performance metrics and targets, build reports and dashboards to derive insights into the health of the business, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadershipPerform ad-hoc analyses across multiple data sets and tools (examples of analyses include customer segmentation, sales participation, propensity to buy, white space, etc.)Directly drive and align business forecasting and related business processes and governancePartner and collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Enablement and other key stakeholder groups, influence effectively across all areas and levels of the organizationIdentify opportunities to improve Sales team efficiencies, and lead efforts to scale best practices across segments and regionsAct as a strategic thought partner to various members of Sales Leadership team, helping define and deliver on the sales strategy and program across the businessBuild executive level presentations, reports and dashboards – in partnership with cross-functional teamsHire, develop, motivate, and coach a team of employees.Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceBachelor's degree from a top-tier universityMinimum of 2 years of strategy experience with a top-tier management consulting firm or within an inhouse corporate strategy or sales strategy functionMinimum of 5 years of experience with global sales, sales operations, and / or marketing program managementMinimum of 1 year leadership experienceExperience with technology (ideally software) or industrial companiesPreferred Qualifications and SkillsMBA from a top-tier university is strongly preferredDirect experience designing and implementing GTM programs such as annual sales planning, segmentation, coverage model design, account selection, account-planning, compensation strategy etc.Strong understanding of B2B sales environment – including sales organizational structures, direct and indirect channel, sales systems, and industry data used in developing go-to-market strategiesEffective project management skills, clarifying and handling scope, effectively structuring work, developing work-plans, engaging partners/peers (within the Sales organization and beyond) effectively & timelyAbility to work with sales leaders and account managers – balancing the need to drive corporate initiatives with empathy and change management sensitivityExcellent problem-solving skills – ability to frame business problems, break them down into logical components, design and execute analyses to inform solutions and communicate insights with a bias towards actionExcellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to construct and articulate impactful messages/insights from complex analysisAt Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
