Job Profile
Reporting to the General Manager Cranes Americas this position will actively focus on the development and manage of the North American (USA & Canada) dealer network for the Terex mobile cranes (Rough Terrain, Pick & Carry) made in Italy, India and Australia and is a key position within the team.
Responsibilities:
Dealer Network Expansion: Identifying potential dealers or distributors and evaluating their suitability to represent the company's products or services. This involves conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities for growth.Dealer Selection and Onboarding: Conducting interviews, negotiations, and finalizing agreements with new dealers. Assisting in the setup process and ensuring the dealers are equipped with the necessary resources and training to effectively sell the company's offerings.Performance Evaluation: Monitoring the performance of existing dealerships, analyzing sales data, and providing guidance to improve sales and profitability. Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure dealer success.Relationship Management: Building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with dealers, acting as their primary point of contact within the company. Addressing any concerns or issues that dealers may have and working collaboratively to achieve common goals.Market Analysis: Keeping abreast of market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Providing insights and recommendations to the company's management team for strategic decision-making.Training and Support: Organizing training sessions and workshops for dealers to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service capabilities.Market Expansion Strategies: Collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for market expansion and increasing brand visibility.Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring that dealers adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and contractual agreements. Managing documentation related to dealer agreements and contracts.Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets for dealer development activities and providing forecasts for sales and market growth.Reporting: Preparing regular reports on dealer performance, market trends, and progress towards goals. Presenting these reports to senior management and providing recommendations for improvement.Work continuously with the factory on product developments, market trends, production forecasts and order intakeA major part of this role is working in conjunction with various departments, such as Service, Parts & Finance to show a ‘One Terex’ face to the customer/end userActively support product support team in resolving customer problems and be involved in the after sales market of crane accessories
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum three years of sales experienceMinimum five years of experience with dealer management relative to capital equipmentMust be fluent in English, both written and spokenComputer literate; demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
College DegreeExperience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers and dealersMinimum two years dealer management skills (target setting, pipeline management, business planning)Thorough understanding of budget development and managementEnthusiastic and able to work under pressure and self directedTwo years experience formal & professional presentation experiencePrevious sales experience specifically w/washing systemsTrack record of having built strong business relationshipsDemonstrated success in new business development, product marketing and salesExceptional time & territory management practicesTechnical sales capability both to dealers and to end users: able to understand & articulate machine processes effectivelyResults and outcome driven

This is a salary position; in addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
