This position is to assist with implementation of JUNOS 18.2 upgrades while maintaining the existing break/fix work of IPAG/VPLS/MPcore network. Primary function of this job will be network fault management while upgrading software code. Part of a 24X7 staff delivering network tech support. Key Roles and Requirements:Ability to follow MOPS and attention to detail is also necessary. This includes the ability to analyzecomplex circuit/networking issues and routing problems, an extensive knowledge in network design and maintenance, and an overall understanding of the Ethernet transport principles. A solid background in ethernet troubleshooting is required. Needs to possess a broad technical knowledge and understandingof large-scale LAN networks. Advanced understanding of OSI layers 1, 2, 3 model required.Background in working in an operations environment required. Must have experience in working ticketqueue and answering phone, multitasking is a necessary skill.Needs to communicate clearly and effectively in order to troubleshoot any network issues by instructing and managing onsite technicians. Ability to work with a diverse team in a 24x7 environment is also required. This position will be for a 24x7 role with primary focus for night shift fulfillment. History of working with a fully remote team a plus. Overall Purpose: Responsible for providing custom data network operational support, design, engineering, and planning for complex global data network and communications projects involving TCP/IP and related protocol connectivity for networks supporting *** customers in a 7x24 environment.
