You will primarily use Rust and SQL to build secure, scalable, and efficient backend services. You will also be contributing to the full software stack as you develop various products and features in the Kigo platform. Your role is crucial in creating robust solutions that support our innovative tokenized loyalty platform.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement high-performance applications using RustDevelop, optimize, and maintain robust databasesIntegrate user-facing elements developed with server-side logicEnsure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsCollaborate with other team members and stakeholders to design and launch new featuresMaintain code integrity and organization, including code versioning and CI/CD practicesIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issuesWrite maintainable, testable, and scalable codeWhat you need to be successful in this role:3+ years of experience in software developmentStrong expertise in backend programming with RustExperience with SQL and database designGood understanding of JavaScript and HTMLExperience in full-stack development, able to integrate front-end and back-end aspects of applicationsFamiliarity with code versioning tools such as GitKnowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environmentsUnderstanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable applicationAbility to implement automated testing platforms and unit testsExcellent verbal communication skillsTeam player with an ownership mindset– no task is too small, no challenge is too great, with a strong bias for actionStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailBenefitsKigo offers competitive compensation and an energetic, innovative work environment where everyone is welcome and valued - our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic whole selves to work.
