OUR CLIENTOur international client is offering an opportunity to join them in their growth as a Business Development Manager at their EPC firm focused on commercial solar projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically driven individual to join our solar development project management team. The Business Development Manager will work alongside our client's senior team to learn the ins and outs of solar project lifecycle management. You should demonstrate a passion for the industry, coupled with a strong self-starter attitude and acute attention to detail.

Passionate and open minded attitude, with a motivation to develop industry and product knowledge to further individual career developmentMust be comfortable coordinating with various cross-functional teams and clearly articulate instructions and objectives to ensure seamless execution of deliverablesMust be able to multi-task and stay organized while managing multiple interdependent workstreams to reduce friction and costly delays and bottlenecksEntrepreneurial spirit and outgoing personality with the desire to stay on the leading edge of a rapidly innovating industryWorks well as a team and independently in fast paced environmentsDemonstrates aptitude for creative and critical problem solvingExceptional verbal and written communication skillsMust own/have access to vehicle for travel and a valid driver's licenseMicrosoft office suite experienceWHAT'S REQUIRED

Prepare proposal to prospective land or building owners for solar site developmentCoordinate and attend preliminary municipal meetings to determine suitability of solar development in their jurisdictionDiligently track project pipeline and progress schedules to ensure all projects are seamlessly moving forward, and address any bottlenecks and roadblocksPrepare and manage project applications and provide weekly status summaries, including but not limited to Planning Boards, Zoning, Department of Building Permits, ConEdison Interconnection and NYSERDA solar incentivesCoordinate cross-functional/third-party teams (i.e., architectural, electrical engineering, structural engineering, expeditors, etc.) and serve as the primary project owner that will be accountable for timely delivery of application documents and reportsPrepare, track and manage project budgets and provide weekly budget variance reports for completed projectsSupport project close out with legal, finance and business development managementIn the field :Conduct preliminary site visits to determine solar feasibility and potential construction challenges and provide written site survey report with photosAttend meetings with consultants or field engineering teamsAttend and represent the company at planning board meetingsWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
