You should have an established background in designing and building highly scalable systems and the motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to take ownership and be accountable for results is essential.We Are Looking ForA passionate technologist with a thirst for knowledge.A self-starter who wants to look under the covers and understand how and why things work.A person well versed in the fundamentals of OOA/OOD & micro service based architecture.A great collaborator who is excited to be part of a high-functioning teamAn advocate of clean, well-tested codeResponsibilitiesDesigning, implementing, and maintaining containerized microservices that are used by thousands of people every dayWork with product and client technical teams to turn business requirements to technical specificationsRe-factoring and improving the existing code basePlan and decompose High-Level Features, providing accurate estimates.Responsible for architecture direction of the application.Execute process improvement projects, including technical debt reduction and culling code / procedures that may no longer be neededAssist Production Support Team with triage and identify root cause for issues with designated applicationsQualifications7+ years of hands-on software development in Java, Spring boot.Experience delivering highly scalable, high-performance and mission-critical software solutions in cloud environment.A very strong understanding of Object Oriented Design.Familiarity with software management tools (gradle, GIT, build pipeline etc), CI-CD, test automation.Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in computer science or related discipline.Bakkt is devoted to having diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
