Description:

Steptoe seeks to add a junior to mid-level associate for our telecommunications practice with at least 3 to 4 years of experience. Our telecommunications practice is focused on Satellite, Internet, Wireless and International matters. Duties to include legal research, writing, and counseling of clients on legal, commercial and technology matters, electronic commerce and the telecom industry; merger approval; satellite licensing and regulation; net neutrality; the statutory satellite copyright licenses; programming disputes; terrestrial spectrum licensing; electronic surveillance law; privacy and data protection. The ideal candidate will have experience working at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or experience working on FCC regulatory matters.Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team.
