Inventory Control Specialist (Swing Shift)

La Terra Fina (LTF) is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist (Swing Shift) (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) to execute all coordination of system inventory transactions and movements, daily warehouse transfers and inventory adjustments, specializing in the resolution of any inventory related problems. In this role you will interact and partner with the operations and logistics team daily.

Primary Responsibilities
1 Perform supporting administrative systems responsibilities for the Warehouse department using the ERP, WMS application (Email, Ross and e-Reports).
Review daily inventory transactions for all warehouses.Provide direction to forklift drivers regarding appropriate locations for storing goods.Manage warehouse inventory and maintain database using Ross and e- Reports systems.Provide daily reports to the Warehouse Manager, Procurement Manager, Logistics Director, and others regarding EOD pallets, and warehouse inventory by location.Interact with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor daily, to ensure accurate movement and tracking of inventories.Manage daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments by location.Confirm availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.As a data super user, all the documents, reports, and forms of related activities will be done by using reports in RedZone, E-Reports, Ross, Excel and other programs.Support Shipping and Receiving Coordinator by assisting in the preparation of shipping documents for intracompany transfers of materials and products.2 Ensure material management at all warehouses and LTF locations are properly tracked and in the right place
at the right time.
Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in coordinating internal transportation schedules between warehouses (Driesbach, W2 & LTF).In conjunction with the logistics department and shipping & receiving coordinator, helps facilitate and schedule the movement of products between internal warehouse locations and third-party warehouses (Driesbach and FWS), including storage and shipment of finished products.In coordination with the Procurement department, implements and follows through daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in internal warehouse locations and third-party warehouses (Driesbach and FWS).Periodically reviews / investigates missing entries, updates entries manually/data collection in Ross.Oversee storage of items, inventory records and distribution of materials.Analyze work processes and recommend measures to improve production methods and quality of service.Serves as back up to shipping & receiving coordinator by assisting with scheduling appointment requests from transportation companies and ensuring inventory availability.3 Perform a combination of the following activities to support fluctuating shipping volume.
Operate forklift truck as needed.Manage, repack, or restack pallets of finished product as needed.Assist in preparation and submission of accurate records for intracompany transportation purposes.Coordinate with customer service, warehouse or sales to resolve inventory discrepancies.4 Seek ways to make improvements to internal processes, documentation and knowledge transfer
Identify and report slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.Ensure the quality of services provided to LTF meet internal standards and agreed upon SLA's (service level agreements)Learn new and existing technology and seeks ways to better utilize tools, systems, and processes to make team and logistics department more efficient and effective.5 Perform other key supervisory duties as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
BA preferred but not required.A minimum of 5 to 7+ years' experience in inventory control, warehousing, scheduling, transportation, logistics or freight in a manufacturing environment (preferably fresh food) is required. A commensurate combination of educational background and experience may substitute.Prior experience handling invoices, freight chargebacks, insurance claims, etc.In-depth knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, warehouse management practices.Must have analytical skills to understand carrier shipping routes in meeting product delivery timelines and standards.Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.Extensive experience of handling and execution of inventory transactions and warehouse activities.Must have problem resolution skills, with the ability to defuse conflict and drive successful resolution.The ability to communicate concisely and professionally, both verbally and in writing is needed, with excellent listening skills.Represents the best interest of La Terra Fina.
