The position will improve manufacturing processes to enable consistent delivery, enhanced efficiency, reduced cost, improved sustainability, and maximized profitability. Proactively maintain material handling, batching, and processes and actively engage cross-functionally to bring new products to market.Design and implement projects focused on new products, process, ingredients, and continuous improvement:

Generate reports and writes project proposals.Present design and research to internal customers.

Actively engage cross-functionally to drive the Customer to Concept process and bring new products to market.Develop processes to meet production and consumer needs; measures process capabilities with the plants.Proactively maintain material handling, batching, and process and new technology and equipment to improve process/efficiency of the business.Use and proactively share knowledge associated with statistical analysis, Design of Experiment, and Statistical Process Control.Author comprehensive process instructions/specifications.Travel required as needed for business; communicate with supervisor when not manageable.Education & Experience5+ years of food industry experiencePhD/Masters/Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in relevant scientific field of studyCertifications such as 6 sigma and ELP are highly beneficialStrong technical knowledge of engineering and/or data analysis of food science, sensory science, and ingredient functionality/handling.Strong knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods product processes and line equipment.Understanding of technical process parameters associated with products and the relationship with Customer and Consumer needs.Deals with concepts and complexity; can comfortably handles risk and uncertainty; can decide and act without having the total picture.Strong self-accountability to meet deadlines and drive results; is accountable for own work; meets timelines and expectations; works independently and is accountable to deadlines while flexible to changing business needs.Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.HP Hood is an Equal Opportunity EmployerFemale/Minority/Veteran/Disabled"VERVRAA Federal Contractor”Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
